Earth Day has become the symbol of green living. When Angela and Kyle first told me they were having their wedding on Earth Day, I knew their day would be nothing short of amazing. This wedding is near and dear to me for many reasons, but Angela and Kyle did do much more than get married. They were earth conscious and made an unbelievable effort to make sure their wedding was giving back, upcycling or recycling.
Angela says it best, “We did not purchase any new decorations for this wedding. Everything was up-cycled or thrifted. We used biodegradable plates and utensils for the cocktail hour and worked with a caterer that sourced local foods and in-season fish for the dinner.”
Not only that, but they also used a local brewery who made their very own honorary beverage – reducing the use of cans and bottles!
What could I say about this couple that everyone already hasn’t? Hearts of gold, pure joy, living with intent. So many things about them just makes my heart sing, and there was so much about their wedding to love. It’s not every day that you work with a client that makes you feel completely at home. But these two did. I felt like we had been friends forever by the time their wedding day came around. If they could treat me like gold, imagine how they made everyone else feel!
