Fun Downtown Tampa Maternity Session

Three months ago I had the pleasure of being a part of a gender reveal. If you have ever been a part of one, they are incredibly exciting! There was even more excitement for me since I was the only one who knew what the couple was having. My good friends Morgan and Morgan trusted me with their ultrasound reveal, handing it over to me before they even opened it. The Morgans have two sweet boys already, and they thought for sure they would be having another boy. Surprise! During our smoke bomb reveal, the pink color of the smoke revealed to everyone they were in fact having a girl. Morgan shrieked with excitement and my eyes watered watching their family jump around in joy for a little girl. Morgan wrote about their experience here.

This past weekend, The Morgans and I went on an adventure around Downtown Tampa and photographed her baby bump. We started at Le Meridien and made our way a few blocks here and there, documenting the morning as we went. Tampa on a Sunday morning is incredibly peaceful, and three of us were thankful for the tranquil streets. I loved this session for the natural movements I was able to capture between the two of them. I loved the harsh shadows and shimmering trees. I loved how easy it was for them to hug, kiss, snuggle – most of the time without direction.

Most people prefer parks or the beach for maternity and family sessions, and I really loved the fact that Morgan wanted an urban setting. 

 

I seriously can’t wait to meet baby Adelle! If she is anything like her mama, she will be perfection <3
