Surprise Marco Island Proposal!

I always catch myself saying surprise proposal, but aren’t most proposals a surprise?? Seth contacted me in late January to start talking about his proposal to long time girlfriend Kristin in July in Marco Island! My first thought: “A Marco Island Proposal?? YAS!” I was so excited for the opportunity to play in Marco Island, but also that he was a genuine planner and started to plan way in advance. I knew he wanted it to be absolutely perfect for her.

After months of planning and scheming with Seth, I fell into my role as Florida tourist and pretended to be photographing the birds on the horizon. I saw Seth and Kristin walking up with Seth’s camera in hand. The plan was for Seth to set up a camera on a tripod so they could get a picture on the beach before going to dinner. Thankfully, Seth is a photographer himself so it wasn’t an odd request! Little did Kristin know, I was right beside them, waiting for my queue!

After snapping a few photos of themselves with the ocean behind them, Seth got down on one knee to propose. Surprised and ecstatic, Kristin said yes under the overcast skies of Marco Island and made Seth the happiest man alive! Also, it’s no surprise that the ring fit perfectly! Seth, you’re such a planner and we are all thankful for it!

We spent the next hour walking along to coast of the Gulf and capturing their joyous moments. My favorite? The palms and and the shrubbery made it look like we were in a Florida desert! Dreams. Come. True.

I’m so happy I got to experience this moment with these two!
