I want to create imagery in moments that feel like you. With the utmost intention in everything I do, this experience should feel like yours.

Pour a glass of wine and stay a while, won't you?

Intimate weddings have to be some of my favorite events to photograph. They’re small, but they are always big in emotion. On a quiet Thursday evening I met Amy Metriever, a Michigan local, at Marco Beach Ocean Resort. It was such a beautiful day. Florida has close to perfect weather in the Fall and I was ecstatic she chose to have her wedding beach front, overlooking the calmness of it all.

Amy was so incredibly sweet when I met her in her suite before she got ready. She was right on time – her hair was beautifully curled by her dear friend and personal hair stylist Cynthia Glew. Amy got dressed in a fitted satin gown designed by Lord & Taylor. To complete her look, she wore her mother’s earrings and her blue sapphire ring, and sported a bouquet styled by Marco Island Florist.

When I asked her what stood out to her on their wedding day, she simply said, “My son walking me down the boardwalk; looking so grown up and handsome and taking such good care of me.”

Her son gave her away to her now husband, Rex. What a sweet and down-to-earth man.

“..and my daughter, my maid of honor, who is such an amazing young woman.”

Rex’s two sons also stood by his side as he and Amy exchanged vows.

“The things that really stood out to me at the wedding, was the perfection of the day, watching the sun set over the water, the white sand beach, and seeing my family and closest friends who came there to be with us. Rex and I both cried.”

Amy and Rex plan on taking a honeymoon after tax season, since they are both accountants.

“Not sure where we are going yet, but probably either a tropical vacation or Europe!”
