I want to create imagery in moments that feel like you. With the utmost intention in everything I do, this experience should feel like yours.

Pour a glass of wine and stay a while, won't you?

i'm KÉra

I remember the day Dee called me from her St Pete home wondering if I’d be available for her wedding in Asheville NC.  It hadn’t dawned on me before that I could be a traveling photographer, going from destination to destination photographing people in love.  And Asheville in November? This is what Fall dreams are made of!

Dee and Alex met in Palo Alto, but it wasn’t too long after that they became good friends. One of their favorite ways to spend time together was to go running.

“We assured everyone our relationship was platonic and nothing was going to happen,” Dee explains after mentioning they moved in together to save on rent since living costs were so high in Silicon Valley.

“Moving in together was a pretty aggressive cost-savings tactic that could’ve blown up pretty quickly. Luckily it all worked out and we started dating pretty much on move in.”

Dee and Alex seem to always be on the move. Alex’s job brought the two of them to St. Pete, which is how they found me! Specifically for their engagement session, Dee wanted a session that focused on their connection and less on the poses. We had a lot of fun getting to know each other and creating editorial type imagery that represented the two of them well.

And although they now lived in St. Pete, Dee really wanted to have a true Fall wedding. Dee went to college in Providence Rhode Island, and despite being a California girl at heart, she absolutely fell in love with the cold winters and especially the Fall. They chose Asheville specifically for the Fall weather, and of course, the amazing food.

They wanted their wedding to be simple, and non-traditional, focusing on the breathtaking scenery and landscape to provide the grandiose feel that weddings are supposed to have; and it did not disappoint! Their wedding was crisp and colorful, and offered a warm invitation to all of their out of town guests (the hot apple cider helped, too!).

After photographing this Asheville wedding, it makes me so excited to dive into the Nashville wedding market, to experience the mountains and lush landscapes (and of course, music city!).  If you’re looking for a Nashville wedding photographer, let me know! I am offering a wonderful wedding package for my Nash couples.

Cheers! xoxo
