Amy & Alex Married at the Vinoy

Amy and Alex met at a UF college party that was held by some of her high school friends in St. Pete. Alex said in his vows that he noticed Amy within seconds! I imagine that during the night their beings tip-toed closer together until they were finally talking, and talking through the night. It wasn’t long until they started dating, and their lives together would be forever changed – they dated for 2 years in college, 3.5 years of long distance, and finally coming together and lived together for a year before Alex proposed.

A little over 6 years had passed and he proposed on the beach at sunset. They had been there before and really enjoyed it. Amy describes it as a little cove surrounded by mangroves; nice and private. Amy tells it best, “Prior to the moment we drank champagne and he asked me to give him a dance lesson. Then he said he wanted to take a picture at sunset so he set up a camera on a tripod, but it was really a video that caught the proposal and the moments leading up to it!”

Amy and Alex had a beautiful ceremony and reception at the historic Vinoy in downtown St. Petersburg! The things I remember most is the champagne the girls popped, the tears both Amy and Alex shared during the walk down the aisle, how amazing they both looked, and how joyous and grateful they both felt throughout the day. I’m so honored to have photographed these two! <3
