Spring Maternity Session at Centennial Park | Jamie and Spencer

Few things are more special than getting to walk through life’s biggest milestones with the same couple, and photographing Jamie and Spencer’s spring maternity session at Centennial Park in Nashville was one of those full-circle moments that truly filled my heart, as Jamie and Spencer have been together for 10 years and I have been with them for all their major milestones. Starting with their engagement, wedding, and now maternity, it has truly been such an honor to document these exciting moments in their life.

What is even more special is that they traveled all the way to Nashville to have me photograph their maternity session (and enjoy a little baby moon getaway!), which is such a compliment and an honor I’ll never take for granted.

Centennial Park Spring Maternity Session

The weather couldn’t have been more perfect and we had a beautiful time catching up and perusing the park. Then, there was the added bonus of the cherry blossoms being in full bloom at Centennial Park. It was a gorgeous sight with the trees full of fluffy blooms, the geese playing in the water, and the sun giving us that soft, golden light that makes everything feel just a little more magical.

Jamie absolutely glowed in her flowy blue dress, and it was so sweet to see how she and Spencer have grown together through the years. Their love is steady, joyful, and full of quiet tenderness. Watching them walk hand in hand beneath the cherry blossoms felt like a storybook moment. What’s even more perfect is that Jamie’s due date fell on Mother’s Day. How incredibly fitting!

Why Maternity Sessions Matter

Maternity sessions are some of my favorite moments to photograph. It’s a small, but significant moment in a couple’s life, so full of anticipation, change, and excitement and it goes by in the blink of an eye. These sessions aren’t just about baby bumps and glowing mamas (though those are wonderful, too); they’re about documenting the transition into parenthood, the depth of love between partners, and the story they’re building together.

Jamie and Spencer, thank you for continuing to trust me with your most meaningful life moments. It’s been a joy and an honor to capture your journey together, and I can’t wait to see you step into this new role as parents.
