I want to create imagery in moments that feel like you. With the utmost intention in everything I do, this experience should feel like yours.

Pour a glass of wine and stay a while, won't you?

i'm KÉra

It’s always nice to see people who are no longer a constant in your life. When asked to photograph a old co-workers wedding, I jumped at the opportunity, knowing that it was going to be a very special moment.

I met Scott while working in Fort Myers, where we grew to know each other, as a lot of us did because it was a small space that we shared. I came to find out that he had a fiance and a soon to be daughter. I would always sit and listen about how lucky he felt he was to be marrying a wonderful woman and a sweetheart of a daughter, and I never truly knew what he meant until I saw the three of them together on the day of their wedding.

I parked my car near the Sanibel Beach & Lighthouse and almost instinctively rolled down my window to feel the cool air and smell the salt skimmed wind. It was a beautiful day for a wedding. It was calm, sunny, and just warm enough for a skirt and short sleeve shirt. After loading my cards in my camera, and loading film in a recently acquired vintage camera, I made my way towards the water to find all three of them under the shade of the lighthouse and trees. With them was also a old co-worker who worked with both Scott & I; she was to marry them. As I stood there playing catch up, I couldn’t help but notice what a happy family they really were! Never was there an ounce of nerves, remorse or negativity. It seemed as though the three of them were so connected, and so perfect for each other.

It was nearing sunset, so I instantly went into photos with Allison & Scott before the ceremony. To my amazement, they barely needed any direction! It was so much fun to just witness the love these two had for each other. The way they moved and flowed together was so real, that I didn’t want to change any of that. Even their daughter was getting in on some of the photo action. What a doll!

During their wedding ceremony and a sweet father & daughter ceremony, they shared tears, laughter, hugs – it was short and sweet, but ever so memorable. Almost immediately after, they shared a short walk on the beach, played in the water and enjoyed the sunset. Afterwards, they enjoyed a intimate dinner at The Bubbleroom, before playing easter bunny for their daughter.

Congratulations to the Trowells!
