Faith and Hunter | Downtown Tampa Engagement Session

Faith and Hunter met while she was in the 8th grade and he was a freshman in High School. They fell madly in love and were together through the course of High School. But as Hunter started prepping his life for college, the two of them decided that they would go their separate ways.

As fate would have it, Faith would end up at the same college as Hunter. Though they would see each other at events and in the hallways at school, neither of them thought to rekindle the young love they once had.

It wasn’t until Father’s day 2018 that Faith found herself back home in St. Petersburg visiting family. Hunter got wind of her being there and decided to invite her over to catch up.

Faith puts it best.

“Five minutes prior to arriving at his parents house, Hunter proceeds to text me “be on your best behavior, the whole families here ;).” Contemplating an escape route and totally taken by surprise.. the Uber arrived at the front door of his parents beautiful home and I realized there was no turning back. I remember walking up to the front door, peering through the glass and seeing the WHOLE FAMILY sitting in the living room. Nerves were at an all time high as I knocked on the front door.. but within minutes it felt like we were right back in high school like nothing changed. His family welcomed me with open arms, probably just as shocked as I was but so loving. I spent time catching up with his sister, niece, and mom. We decided we’d walk downtown for a drink and instantly it was like gravity pulled us together. We were holding hands, laughing, and in those moments, I knew I was looking at my future husband.”

For Faith and Hunter’s engagement session, we wanted to incorporate a different areas that connected with them. Keeping it classy, we started at the Le Meridien in downtown Tampa and then moved to Cypress Point Park for that colorful sunset. I absolutely love how much you can see their connection in every photo!

Faith and I met while in Kappa Delta together at Florida Gulf Coast University and it has been such an honor to be on this journey with her and Hunter. This engagement session is certainly top 5 for me, and with just one week to go for their wedding, I just couldn’t help but share in their excitement to finally become husband and wife!
