I want to create imagery in moments that feel like you. With the utmost intention in everything I do, this experience should feel like yours.

Pour a glass of wine and stay a while, won't you?

i'm KÉra

If you were to tell me 5 years ago if I’d be the one traveling from Nashville to photograph Danyel & Jacob’s wedding at the Vinoy and St. Petersburg Woman’s club, I would have told you that you were crazy.

One weekend afternoon I found myself at Bandit coffee shop sipping on a rosemary iced latte. I was by myself, but it wasn’t uncommon for me to peruse downtown Saint Pete on a day off. I was minding my own business when a man approached me and wouldn’t leave me alone. No matter how many hints I gave, he wouldn’t leave. From a short distance Danyel could read the situation and stepped in to befriend me. That day, she saved me from a very uncomfortable situation and gained a friend in me.

Years would go by, and we always kept up with each other on social. I even ran into Danyel at Black Crow coffee shop one day when I was visiting from Nashville. Whatever it was, fate had us always in each other’s lives. So when Jacob proposed to Danyel, I was thrilled when she wanted me to be the one to capture their love.

Spring wedding season for me has started and it’s been a hectic one with travel, but Danyel & Jacob’s wedding was one I was counting down the days for. I couldn’t wait to see this girl the happiest she has ever been marry the love of her life.

We started at the Vinoy where Danyel and her I Do Crew got ready. I instantly noticed her dried florals and terra-cotta colors. I was stoked to see how Wilder Mind Events put together the rest of her details! She did not disappoint! From dried grasses and dried palm fronds to terra-cotta linens and copper ware —the reception was perfect! I couldn’t imagine anything else for a down to earth gal like Danyel.

The weather was perfect. And despite the five firetrucks blaring down the street, it was a beyond beautiful ceremony on the lawn next to the bay. I think Meghan said it best, “I hope you’re all having a wonderful time celebrating the burning love of these two, that not even the fire trucks outside could extinguish!”. Amen to that sister.

The night went out with a banger, literally, a one-man-band drummer that lit up the dance floor! A wedding and a concert in one night. Who would have thought?! Danyel and Jacob did, because they’re way cool. Way cooler than I’ll ever be.

I’m so excited to see where their marriage takes them. Until then, I hope you soak up these beautiful memories!!
