I recently had the pleasure of capturing Courtney and Andrew’s dreamy summer wedding at The Barn at Sycamore Farms. Their beautiful wedding day was filled with elegant details and personal touches set against the picturesque setting of The Barn at Sycamore Farms located in the Tennessee countryside.
Courtney and Andrew started their relationship as friends, meeting during their college years. Introduced by mutual friends, their connection developed naturally over time until they became inseparable. Andrew pulled out all the stops during his proposal to Courtney! The evening of the proposal, Courtney thought she was meeting Andrew’s boss for dinner on a boat to admire the Miami cityscape. However, when Courtney arrived, her closest friends were waiting on the boat to watch the proposal and surprise their best friend. Andrew had flown them all in from Tennessee for this moment that he had been planning for months! As a shocked Courtney turned from her friends, she found Andrew kneeling on one knee. I think it is safe to say, Courtney had no idea what Andrew as planning; he did an amazing job!
Against the elegance of The Barn at Sycamore Farms, Courtney and Andrew’s wedding unfolded like a fairytale. All of their details were amazing, including his Louis Vuitton sliders and rings from Cartier. Both Courtney and Andrew were calm and excited for their day – no nerves at all! It was incredibly refreshing to see how ready they were to get married. Their genuine excitement and relaxed demeanor set the tone for their day.
Their two sweet dogs played a special role, joyously witnessing the outdoor ceremony and the couple’s heartfelt vows. I loved how excited their golden retriever was to be included, especially how he looked up at them adoringly as they shared their first kiss as husband and wife.
After their outdoor ceremony and stunning wedding portraits, the celebration continued indoors in the venue’s main hall. The classic, crystal chandelier hanging from the arched ceiling provided a touch of timeless grandeur, while Courtney’s bouquet of delicate white and pink flowers captured the essence of romance.
As the reception unfolded, instead of the traditional father-daughter dance, Courtney’s father sang to her. It was a sentimental, touching moment and I loved that they chose to do something different. Afterwards, Courtney changed into a fun, frilly party dress and hit the dance floor with her groom. The newlyweds and their guests partied hard! I love that they were out on the dance floor the entire night, celebrating the beginning of this new chapter in life together.
