Caroline and Steven’s Romantic elopement at Cheekwood Estate & Gardens was an unforgettable day that highlighted their love and connection against a backdrop of grandeur and natural beauty. Affection flowed effortlessly between them, manifesting in touches and shared glances that ignited an undeniable energy. Caroline and Steven exchanged their vows under the Wisteria Arbor, surrounded by a close group of loved ones. The Wisteria Arbor features a stunning display of branches overhead covered in greenery. In addition, the upper level offers stunning views of the Tennessee hills.
Romantic Elopement at Cheekwood
The day unfolded with an abundance of magical moments. You could feel the love and energy between these two throughout the day. Seeing their smiling faces and evident joy set the tone for their wedding. Each photograph preserved the enchanting atmosphere of Cheekwood, along with the love that radiated between the couple.
Nestled on quiet acreage, this premier Nashville wedding venue features breathtaking views and lush gardens. The architecture and landscape of this historic estate is something to be experienced. We made sure to explore as much of Cheekwood as we could throughout the day. The natural beauty of the venue painted a beautiful backdrop as I captured their wedding portraits. One of my favorite scenes from the day, tool place in one of the beautiful gardens featuring blossoming flowers in various shades of purple, red, and yellow flowers which surrounded the couple.
Caroline’s vibrant, floral dress perfectly complemented the venue’s beauty. I absolutely loved her unique dress and that she chose to break from the traditional wedding gown. Her simple, but beautiful bouquet contained yellow flowers and pops of purple surrounded by green leaves.
Their Love Story
Caroline and Steven’s love story began on the dating app, Hinge. Their first date took place at a coffee shop, Red Bicycle. It became clear to both of them that their chemistry was undeniable. During their initial conversations, they found many shared interests. Their engaging conversations laid the foundation of their close relationship.
Via a personal ad in the New York Review of Books, Caroline proposed to Steven. Of course, Steven said yes after his initial shock wore off! He later put his own personal ad in the Nashville Scene, to surprise Caroline. Their proposal story is both unique and sweet.
Their romantic elopement at Cheekwood was a celebration of their beautiful love story set against Cheekwood’s timeless elegance. I love the intimate nature of elopements. The focus is solely on the bride and groom and their union. Everything is done with purpose and intent, such was the case for Caroline and Steven.
