During my recent trip to Charleston with my husband Karl, I had the absolute pleasure of capturing Alexa and Kevin’s romantic Charleston engagement session. This city completely won me over while I was there! Needless to say, it was a dream come true getting to photograph a couple in love while visiting.

We began the session at the Mills House Hotel, a historic pink landmark with stunning window panes framed by palm trees. This location set the perfect tone for the session. The soft pink tones of the hotel’s exterior contrasted beautifully with the lush greenery and historic charm of Charleston. Alexa and Kevin were so beautiful together, not just their looks but the way they interacted with each other. The way they smiled and laughed with each other was infectious. You could instantly tell how much they adore one another.

Romantic Charleston Engagement

From there, we made our way to Chalmers Street, one of the city’s charming cobblestone streets. Walking along those stones felt like stepping back in time, and the historic houses lining the street made it the perfect spot for timeless, romantic images.

Alexa and Kevin’s connection was undeniable. Throughout the session they shared big smiles, laughter, and lots of physical chemistry. From their playful interactions to the way they naturally gravitated toward one another, It was such a joy to witness a couple so in love.

Charleston is a beautiful city full of stunning backdrops, timeless architecture, and historic charm. The cobblestone streets, brick walls, and the gorgeous green vines and trees that decorated the streets created a magical atmosphere that was straight out of a fairy tale. This Charleston engagement was special in so many ways, not only because of the location but because of Alexa and Kevin’s pure joy and love for one another.
