Summer Pool Editorial | Nashville Couples Photographer
Even though it’s officially fall, I am still over here dreaming of summer – especially this summer pool editorial that I had the joy of capturing! I have always wanted to create a poolside editorial that encapsulated summer in a fun and chic way, and this session fulfilled all my dreams! In fact, it turned out even better than I had imagined.
Margo and David were the perfect couple for this shoot. Their natural chemistry and playful energy made the session feel effortless. To set the scene, West Era Rentals brought in green-and-white striped umbrellas, which added just the right amount of color and personality to the outdoor space. Combined with the martini glasses, the whole setup gave us that elevated yet playful summer aesthetic.
Summer Pool Editorial
To start the session, Margo and David wore casual summer outfits. Margo’s crisp white dress paired beautifully with her white umbrella, giving everything a clean, stylish feel. Afterward, they changed into swimsuits to really embrace the poolside vibe. Margo’s chic, white one-piece swimsuit flawlessly fit the editorial look we were going for.
I also loved experimenting with direct flash in the daytime, which gave the portraits an edgy, fashion-forward feel. I even managed to capture one mid-air shot of the martini splashing, which quickly became one of my favorites.
These couple portraits are everything I love about summer. They encapsulate the summer vibe so perfectly – playful, romantic, stylish, and filled with that unmistakable carefree energy. This poolside summer shoot is one I will be thinking about for awhile!
