I want to create imagery in moments that feel like you. With the utmost intention in everything I do, this experience should feel like yours.

Pour a glass of wine and stay a while, won't you?

It was a beautiful day in Nashville for Ashley and Jay’s elevated summer Wedding at The Cordelle. What I loved most about Ashley and Jay is their infectious personalities. They make you feel like their best friend and I found myself so happy just being around them. The entire day was laidback and fun, and the wedding itself was gorgeous in every way.

Ashley and Jay are from Kansas City. They met almost 5 years ago at a Mitchell Tenpenny concert in Louisville, KY and have been together ever since. Jay proposed during springtime in Seattle while visiting Ashley. They were out on a walk with their sweet pup, Derby, when Jay popped the question. Even though they are not from Nashville, they chose to host their wedding here to be close to family, which is  very important to both of them. They wanted their wedding day to feel like an elevated house party with classy elements where friends and family could relax and enjoy themselves. Their day was just that and more.

The couple started their day at The Saint Elle, a new event venue by the founders of The Cordelle. The beautiful space was perfect for getting ready. The bride shared a special first look with both her mom and dad before heading outside to surprise Jay. His reaction was priceless as he turned to see his stunning bride in her sparkling wedding dress. The white summer blooms in the background were the icing on the cake.

One of the memorable moments from their day was getting to see their adorable dog, Derby. He stole the show a couple of times. Derby had his own tribute at the wedding as well, as his face was featured on the custom glasses that read “Drinks on me!”.  The glasses were on display for guests to pick up on their way to the ceremony.

I absolutely loved this detail. Not only did it infuse a little bit of personality and meaning to their wedding day, but it was practical and thoughtful as it was an extremely hot day outside. Guests loved getting a beverage on their way to find a seat. In fact, I loved everything about their outdoor wedding ceremony. The umbrella set up was amazing and all the guests appreciated the little bit of shade it provided. The white umbrellas completely elevated the ceremony and gave it this destination vibe. I used my drone to get a few overhead shots of the ceremony and it was everything!

Once the couple were officially Mr. and Mrs., everyone enjoyed cocktails outside before heading inside The Cordelle for a night of dancing and celebrating. Ashley and Jay’s wedding guests were so much fun and they brought their energy! There was so much dancing that night, the room got steamy! Throughout the night, you could find guests hovering around the ground air vents to cool off!

Ashley and Jay, your elevated wedding day was filled with so many beautiful and memorable moments. Thank you so much for allowing me to be a part of your special day. Cheers to you both!
