I want to create imagery in moments that feel like you. With the utmost intention in everything I do, this experience should feel like yours.

Pour a glass of wine and stay a while, won't you?

I absolutely loved my time with Stephanie and Hayden capturing their romantic Cheekwood engagement. They had just gotten engaged two weeks prior to their session and their excitement was contagious. What stood out most was the way they couldn’t keep their eyes off each other. They truly gravitated toward each other naturally and fit together perfectly. Cheekwood Estate & Gardens, with its lush pathways and elegant architecture, is one of the most romantic engagement photo locations in Nashville. It made the perfect backdrop for their session. We explored the grounds as they laughed, hugged, and danced in the soft autumn light.

Romantic Cheekwood Engagement

Their engagement session took place in late October before the trees had really started to turn. Everything was bright green and the sun made everything feel magical. We experienced the kind of light that only happens at the end of October. I absolutely loved getting to know these two as we walked around the gardens. When asking about their story, Stephanie lovingly replied, “October 6, 2022 I met a cute boy…October 6, 2025 I said yes to forever.” I think it’s safe to say October 6th will always hold a special place in their hearts.

Cheekwood Estate and Gardens Engagement Outfits

The couple were elegantly dressed in outfits that complemented each other and the beautiful natural scenery. Both of Stephanie’s white dresses were from Anthropologie Wedding. Her first dress featured a dramatic flair. This shorter, chic white dress featured an oversized bow detail in the back with a long train. It was such a statement piece. Hayden complemented her with a formal black suit and shoes further elevating their look.

Their second look was just as stunning! Stephanie changed into a longer, white strapless dress that paired with Hayden’s navy blue suit and brown shoes.  I absolutely loved both their looks. Not only did they look amazing together, but these outfits perfectly suited the natural scenery at Cheekwood.

Between their sweet connection, the gorgeous late-October light, and the beauty of Cheekwood, this engagement session was a dream. It was such a joy to document this exciting chapter in their lives. I am also eagerly looking forward to returning to Cheekwood Estate and Gardens in May of 2027 to document their wedding day! I love that they chose to capture their engagement portraits at the same place they will soon say “I do!”
