Carly and Jason are a modern day love story, meeting on Hinge during the pandemic. It takes heart to date online, let alone during the pandemic. Luckily for Carly and Jason, it was early in their dating on Hinge and it JUST. WORKED. OUT. Now, this couple is busy planning their future together. Their downtown Nashville engagement session was the perfect way to celebrate their engagement and preserve this exciting moment in their lives.

I got to know Carly over the course of emails and coffee dates. The moment I met her I knew why Jason loved her so much without ever meeting him. Seeing them together only solidified that for me. They’re both so kind to each other, affection comes easy, and they laugh at each other’s jokes. It’s so refreshing to be around love like that.

Classic Downtown Nashville Engagement Session

Carly really wanted a classic and timeless downtown Nashville engagement session and what’s more classic than the historic downtown Nashville library? The beautiful library scene set the tone for our session, with its marble flooring and natural light flooding in from the tall windows.

After soaking up that gorgeous indoor light, we went to the top of the library parking garage for some Nashville skyline photos. The sun was a little harsh at this time of day, but still had me ooh-ing and aah-ing at that amazing view. Carly’s dress complete with fringe accents added movement to their photos as the wind whirled around them.

After a quick outfit change, we finished their session at Cumberland park by the Bridge Building where we spent the majority of our time laughing, twirling, and getting really close to some friendly geese by the water. The view of the city from across the water was stunning and provided the perfect ending to Carly and Jason’s engagement session, which is one of my all time favorites because it’s so Nashville, but in the most intimate, romantic way.
