I met Melissa and Skylar for their Harlinsdale Farm summer engagement session in Franklin, TN on the most beautiful day! We had nothing but sunshine and clear skies as we walked around the farm capturing their portraits. Melissa and Skylar have amazing chemistry together. They were constantly laughing, and were just so happy together. They slipped into intimate poses with ease and with very little direction from me. You could tell how comfortable they were together and how natural it felt. Both of them were able to let loose and allowed me to see who they are together.

The first half of their session, Melissa wore a summery, floral dress with white boots, while Skylar kept it neutral in black pants and a white shirt. As we headed back toward the beautiful white barn on the farm, the couple changed into a more casual look. Melissa kept her chic, white boots but traded her dress for a white tank and jeans.

Watching them together was magical as they are clearly each other’s person! Skylar revealed his favorite part about Melissa is how thoughtful and kind she is stating, I “love how she is always there for the people she loves the most even if it’s not convenient for her.” Similarly, Melissa loves Skylar’s “heart and how much he cares for everyone around him. He really is my best friend.” It is no wonder these two are so great together!

Having both been born and raised here in Franklin, TN, they met at elementary school, where Skylar’s mom actually taught and was Melissa’s fifth grade teacher – such a small world! They’ve been together for 6 years now and are thrilled to be getting married and starting their life together.
