Elizabeth and Michael’s elegant Cheekwood Estate and Gardens engagement session was nothing short of amazing. Everything from their beautiful, intentional outfits, the gorgeous spring scenery and perfect weather, to their fun-loving nature and obvious connection, came together to create this visually stunning and memorable engagement session. The stars truly aligned for Elizabeth and Michael, which is true for their love story as well.
Elizabeth and Michael knew each other throughout their childhood, but didn’t connect until their college years when Michael stayed home a week later than he expected — just enough time for Elizabeth and him to get together – fate at work. A few years later, on the shores of Lake Maggiore in Italy, Michael proposed. To quote the couple, “Our story began when we were kids, endured through the years, and now is forever.”
For their elegant engagement session, the couple brought two different looks. Both were stunning and highlighted the classic and timeless feel they plan to recreate on their wedding day. While both of Elizabeth’s dresses were chic and elegant, her second dress from Solace London was perfection. The satin felt high end and the cape was a beautiful added drama.
Their neutral color palette also paired wonderfully with grounds of Cheekwood, which is currently in full bloom. As the petals continue to fall from the trees, a little more greenery can also be spotted. The white blossoms on the trees were my favorite and matched perfectly with the ambiance of the session.⠀⠀
More than anything, I had the best time getting to know Elizabeth and Michael during their session — their guards were down, they were completely themselves, and I got a glimpse into who they are as a couple. They have such chemistry. I enjoyed my time with them so much, and we laughed A LOT. It was a fun and memorable day. Congratulations to you both!
