There’s something incredibly special about getting to witness and document different seasons in a couple’s life. It truly means the world to me when couples include me in their life milestones. I first met this amazing couple, Haley and Alex, during a wine tasting at Belle Meade Winery, just after they got engaged. We instantly clicked! They later tied the knot in Texas and a couple years later, our paths crossed again when they were expecting their first baby. I had the honor of photographing their maternity session during my Fall Minis last year, and it was so cool to see how much life had happened! Needless to say, when they welcomed their baby girl, Murphy, I was thrilled to be invited into their home to capture their cozy in-home newborn session.

And oh, what a sweet, peaceful session it was.

Baby Murphy was the cutest, most precious little girl. She slept soundly during the entire shoot, perfectly content in the arms of her mom and dad, nestled in the comfort of their home. The soft lighting, neutral tones, and relaxed atmosphere created the perfect setting for their session.

I love witnessing these candid moments during the early newborn days and preserving them for families. Haley and Alex are naturals and are settling into their new roles as parents seamlessly. You could see how much they love each other and their daughter. In-home newborn sessions are some of my favorites for exactly this reason: they’re cozy, meaningful, and so full of love.

Haley, Alex, and baby Murphy, thank you for allowing me to document this precious chapter in your lives. I’m so excited to watch your family continue to grow.
