Kate and Will’s Germantown and State Capitol engagement session was such a joy to capture! We started in Germantown, which was extra meaningful since it’s where their love story truly began. They both lived in the neighborhood when they started dating, often walking the same sidewalks we strolled together during their session. It felt like such a full-circle moment to retrace those steps while celebrating this new chapter in their story.

Their sweet golden retriever, Honey, joined us for their session, and she completely stole the show! With her pink bow and tail wagging, she happily posed alongside her parents, soaking up all the love and attention. Kate and Will often enjoy walks with Honey, so it felt so fitting to include her in their photos as they all walked together.

I absolutely adored their classic, chic style. Kate wore a lovely white dress with a soft blue pattern, while Will wore a baby blue suit and tan shoes that complemented her look perfectly. Their look was timeless and elegant, yet still relaxed enough to fit the neighborhood setting. Later, we headed to the Tennessee State Capitol, where the grandeur of the architecture gave their session a more formal, elevated feel.

Kate and Will’s Love Story

Kate and Will’s story is so sweet! Both are originally from Philadelphia, but they didn’t meet until life brought them to Nashville, just a quarter of a mile from one another in Germantown. As Kate shared, “We met on Hinge — the most 2024 way of meeting!” Will later proposed on a Sunday morning before church, completely surprising Kate when he dropped to one knee in their front yard.

When I asked what they love most about each other, Kate responded that she loved Will’s confidence, silliness, and genuine love for life. She also admires his generosity, kindness, and strong family values. Will then shared that he loves Kate’s hardworking spirit, positivity, and caring nature. He also noted that their many shared values is something he loves most about her.

Hearing their answers was just so sweet and only reinforced how perfectly matched they are. If their engagement session is any indication, their wedding day is sure to be filled with an endless amount of joy, laughter, and love.
