Alexis and Nick, WOW. You two have truly left a mark on me. Your wedding day embodied what it means to live boldly in your faith, love your family and friends fiercely, and fully embrace the people and moments that matter most. You’ve been together for what feels like a lifetime, yet you still have so much life ahead of you. Your classic spring wedding at Cheekwood Estate & Gardens was just the start of a beautiful new chapter, and how magnificent that you now get to spend it as husband and wife.

Alexis and Nick’s wedding day felt especially meaningful knowing how much life they had already shared before arriving at this moment. The couple spent five years in a long-distance relationship, navigating different seasons and places while continuing to choose one another. Nashville eventually became the first place they would call home together, making their wedding in the city feel even more significant.

They wanted a celebration that was classic and elegant, while staying true to a garden theme. Most importantly, they wanted time to take in the day together, to be surrounded by their favorite people, and to make space for the sweet and vulnerable moments alongside the celebration. Those elements guided their wedding day vision and came to life in the most beautiful way.

Heartfelt Ceremony at Christ the King

Their heartfelt, traditional ceremony at Christ the King Catholic Church was just one of the many special moments of their day. For both Alexis and Nick, the most anticipated moment of their wedding day was seeing each other at the church. Nick couldn’t wait to see Alexis in that moment walking down the aisle, and Alexis couldn’t wait to see and reunite with Nick, standing beside him on the altar. The way they looked at each other throughout the ceremony said it all. These two were overjoyed to be there together. There was so much love shared between them that you could see on their faces as they stole glances at each other.

Their ceremony at Christ the King was heartfelt, centering on their faith and the commitment they were making to one another. Surrounded by loved ones, including many who had traveled to Nashville to be there, they exchanged vows and finally became husband and wife.

Classic Spring Wedding at Cheekwood

From the beginning, Alexis and Nick envisioned a wedding that felt timeless, classic, and connected to the beauty of spring. Cheekwood Estate & Gardens was a natural fit, with its stunning grounds and garden spaces.

Their color palette of green, white, ivory, and soft blush pink complemented the gardens beautifully, and the garden setting provided its own beauty, allowing the spring landscape to become part of the celebration. Each detail was thoughtfully implemented and the end result was truly gorgeous. Their outdoor cocktail hour on the lawn segued into their clear, tented reception that allowed guests to still enjoy all the natural beauty surrounding them.

A light green floral pattern decorated white tablecloths, while classic bouquets of white roses mixed with greenery elevated the tables. The garden theme continued with vines of greenery decorating the ceiling of the tent along with stringed lights. Light green and white were used throughout the reception on signage, table numbers, and even the custom menus. I loved that this aesthetic reflected their elegant but relaxed vision for the day, while keeping the focus on what mattered most.

Spring Wedding Day Full of Joy

One of my favorite things about Alexis and Nick is how much they genuinely enjoy each other. In fact, I’ll never forget how giddy Alexis was anytime she was around Nick. There was this unmistakable sense of excitement and happiness. Then, there was the way Nick looked at Alexis with such admiration. Their love is so joyful and genuine, and it was impossible not to feel it throughout the entire day.

Alexis and Nick, thank you for allowing me to witness such a meaningful day and for trusting me to preserve these memories for you. It was an incredible honor to see all the love you share and how much your people love you. Your classic spring wedding at Cheekwood is one that will stay with me for a while. Congratulations to you both!
