Nashville Engagement at Cheekwood Estate & Gardens | Alexis + Nick

I loved my time with Alexis and Nick for their Nashville engagement at Cheekwood Estate and Gardens. My favorite moments from their session were simply watching them together and seeing how naturally they love one another. Their chemistry is immediate and effortless, but what stood out even more was the deep friendship underneath it all. I suppose being together since high school will do that. These two are genuinely so sweet, and I’m excited not only for their wedding day, but for the marriage they’re building together.

Their Story

These high school sweethearts spent five years dating long-distance while attending different colleges. Even through the distance, they always made time for one another and shared that their relationship actually grew stronger during that season. Then, on Valentine’s Day, Nick completely surprised Alexis with a proposal she never saw coming.

Before their dinner reservations, Nick brought Alexis to Love Circle, where he had created a beautiful setup overlooking the city. There, he asked her to be his wife. Their romantic moment alone was followed by a surprise gathering of all their loved ones who came to town to celebrate their engagement. Nick planned an entire thoughtful weekend for everyone to be together in Nashville.

Nashville Engagement at Cheekwood Estate & Gardens

Their engagement photos at Cheekwood perfectly reflected who they are as a couple. You could feel and see the love they share in the way they look at each other and interact. Their classic and elegant style paired beautifully with the timeless setting of Cheekwood.

I loved both outfit choices and we made sure to pair their outfits with certain locations that enhanced the overall look. For their first outfit, Alexis and Nick chose a softer, neutral color palette that complemented the natural beauty of the gardens. I loved Alexis’ white dress paired with Nick’s dusty blue shirt and tan slacks. The colors worked beautifully with the greenery and romantic landscape throughout the estate and gardens.

Their second look brought an entirely different feel with a richer, darker color palette. Alexis wore a stunning navy dress paired with Nick’s navy pants and tan jacket. For this portion of the session, we intentionally chose locations with more architectural detail and texture, including the stone buildings around the property. The combination felt timeless and refined.

Alexis and Nick are such a genuine, sweet couple. I absolutely adored watching them together and capturing their Nashville engagement session. They shared that they are happiest when we’re doing something fun side by side, and that couldn’t be more true having witnessed them together first hand. Their wedding day is one that I am eagerly looking forward to, as I know it will be a beautiful and memorable wedding.
