All weddings are filled with special, meaningful moments – moments that cause tears to fill your eyes, whether it is an overwhelming feeling of love, a touching moment witnessed, or a moving speech. Melissa and Skyler’s romantic Franklin, TN Wedding at Cedarmont Farm was a combination of everything. The entire day was filled with emotion and happy tears. Even in the sad moments there was still joy and positivity found in that moment.
One of the most moving moments of the day occurred during the first look. As Melissa and Skylar shared their moment, a honeybee landed on Melissa. Melissa, whose name means honeybee, felt the overwhelming presence of her mom who always called her honeybee. It was such a tender, moving moment. Melissa knew in that moment, her mom was there for this special day. Melissa loved that this happened right before and during their first look, allowing her to share in that intimate moment between the two of them.

The special moments from their day continued, and you could feel the abundance of love surrounding Melissa and Skylar, as well as the strong love shared between them. Aside from their overflow of love, the romantic details of their Cedarmont Farm wedding were everywhere, adding to the romantic, classic vibe they both wanted.
Melissa’s dress was out of this world beautiful, featuring a skirt attachment and removable lace sleeves. She was the picture of elegance and beauty. Gorgeous flowers in various shades of red and pink, as well as white roses, and pops of pale orange made up her bridal bouquet. The bridesmaids wore long, silk dresses in a deep olive green. Their bouquets also had pops of colors that complemented each other beautifully.
Melissa and Skylar are Franklin natives who fell in love with this gorgeous wedding venue. I really got to know them when I captured their Harlinsdale Farm Summer Engagement. Even back then, it was easy to see how perfectly matched they were. This was only confirmed after watching them together on their wedding day so full of joy and savoring each moment together.
After their beautiful outdoor wedding ceremony, everyone moved into the newly renovated barn at Cedarmont Farm. The intimate glow from the candlelight added to the romantic atmosphere. There, surrounded by their loved ones, they listened to moving speeches, toasted to their future, and shared in laughter and love with those around them. It was a beautiful evening that filled my heart with happiness and gratitude.
