I want to create imagery in moments that feel like you. With the utmost intention in everything I do, this experience should feel like yours.

Pour a glass of wine and stay a while, won't you?

i'm KÉra

There is so much I want to say about Emma and Joe’s Sewanee University summer wedding, as it was just a beautiful, unforgettable day. More than anything though, I just genuinely loved being around these two!! This comes at no surprise, as I remember leaving their Percy Warner Steps Engagement session feeling the same way.  The word that comes to mind is warmth. The kind of warmth that makes your heart swell and instantly puts you at ease. That is what it’s like to be around Emma and Joe – to feel welcomed in. Their joy is contagious, and their presence is grounding.

This beautiful couple spent their wedding day fully immersed in it all. They soaked in every moment and embraced the magic that is Sewanee. Any time I am on the grounds of Sewanee I feel an intense peace. There is something so calming about the natural setting, the surrounding buildings, and the stone architecture with an old world feel. Not to mention the All Saints Chapel at Sewanee where Emma and Joe exchanged vows is iconic. The high dome ceilings and stained glass windows are just breathtaking.

Sewanee University holds a special place in the hearts of Emma and Joe as this is where Emma attended college, along with many of her family members. She introduced Joe to Sewanee when they started dating and he also fell in love with it. Now it is where they both feel most at home. Emma mentioned spending many summers and holidays here growing up, and now that the couple are moving back to Nashville from Charlotte, NC, I have a feeling they will also be spending more time here too.

Elevated Summer Wedding at Sewanee University

The color palette for Emma and Joe’s summer wedding was a dream with hues of pink, greenery, and classic white. The bridesmaids wore different styles of dresses in various patterns and shades of pink, that all came together to create an elegant summer bridal party look. The gorgeous tented reception featured a lovely couch lounge area right outside the dance floor. Greenery wrapped around the tent poles and ceiling along with stringed lights creating a romantic summer garden wedding vibe.

Once the music started, the dance floor was packed with guests having the best time. To end the evening, the newlyweds exited with a sparkler send off. Emma and Joe’s warmth created such a joyful and relaxed wedding day, and it was such a gift to witness and document it all!!
