I want to create imagery in moments that feel like you. With the utmost intention in everything I do, this experience should feel like yours.

Pour a glass of wine and stay a while, won't you?

There is something so special about photographing a rehearsal dinner. What I love most about them is the opportunity it provides me to meet the people who love the couple. Seeing the love that surrounds a couple, meeting people who have watched them grow and who know every chapter of their story, and hearing the heartfelt toasts given really allows me to get to know them. It also helps me to photograph the wedding day with an even deeper understanding of who they are and the relationships that have shaped them. Alexis and Nick’s elegant Ruby Nashville rehearsal dinner was the perfect beginning to an unforgettable wedding weekend.

From the moment they arrived, Alexis and Nick were overflowing with excitement. You could see the joy on their faces and the anticipation for the day ahead. We only took five minutes to capture portraits of them because they wanted to spend as much time possible with their favorite people. I respect this so much, and love that they valued the time with their loved ones above everything else. While five minutes doesn’t sound like much time, we were still able to get the most amazing portraits in that short window of time. It was so fun to capture them together and see their excitement and genuine happiness bubble over.

Ruby Nashville Rehearsal Dinner

The evening was effortlessly elegant. The rehearsal dinner set up at Ruby was stunning. The area was transformed with crisp white linens that created a timeless foundation for the design. The simple, yet elegant floral arrangements included lush greenery paired with classic white blooms by The Florista. They perfectly complemented the natural beauty of the venue.

Every detail worked together seamlessly. Green napkins added a subtle pop of color, while natural wood plates brought warmth and an organic feel to each place setting. One of my favorite details was the custom menu at each seat. On the reverse side was one of Alexis and Nick’s engagement photos, a personal touch that beautifully tied together the story of their wedding weekend. I had the joy of photographing their engagement session at Cheekwood Estate & Gardens earlier this year, and seeing those images thoughtfully incorporated made the evening feel even more personal.

Ever since spending time with Alexis and Nick during their engagement session, I had been counting down the days until their wedding weekend. Their rehearsal dinner was stunning, and the best part is that it was just a prelude of what is ahead, as their big day was well worth the wait. I can’t wait to share more from their wedding soon!
