Capturing Katie and Jesse’s maternity photos at the iconic Percy Warner Steps in Nashville was one of those full circle, pinch-me moments. I first met this beautiful couple when I photographed their timeless engagement session at Harlinsdale Farm and downtown Franklin, TN. Then, I had the joy of documenting their Elegant Southall Meadows Wedding last November. Now, here we are celebrating the next chapter in their story as they prepare to welcome their sweet baby.
I am so over the moon excited for Katie and Jesse. They are going to be incredible parents. Being able to photograph this milestone was such an honor, and it truly means the world when couples invite me back to capture life’s big moments.
Katie was positively glowing; the sun had nothing on her that day! Pregnancy looks so good on her, and her gorgeous, fitted white dress hugged her baby bump perfectly. The simplicity of her look paired beautifully with the natural elegance of the Percy Warner Steps.
Maternity Photos at Percy Warner Steps
If you’ve never been, Percy Warner Steps is a gorgeous park in Nashville with iconic and historic stone steps. The stately stone staircase is surrounded by lush greenery, giving portraits both a timeless and romantic feel. For Katie and Jesse, it was the perfect backdrop with a blend of classic elegance and natural beauty. We explored the steps and then wandered to the surrounding park, where the summer sun streamed through the trees.
Throughout the session, I loved catching up with them, hearing what life has been like as newlyweds, learning about their preparations for parenthood, and seeing just how much love radiated between them.
What a gift it has been to photograph this couple three times in the past year! This is exactly what I love about being a photographer. The opportunity to grow with my clients and celebrate alongside them through all of life’s chapters. These photos are more than just images; they’re a visual legacy of love, growth, and new beginnings.
